About

I live with my husband, kids, and rabble of critters in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A homegrown childhood cultivated in me a love of animals, adventure, and fantastical stories.

After graduating homeschool, I attended a technical college while working at a gas station and as a freelance farm hand. Then I worked at a veterinary hospital for several years before graduating from a pet grooming internship program. I eventually earned my B.S. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University.

I now own a home-based salon working part time. Grooming dogs gives me ample time for audiobooks! My favorite genres to read are the classics, fantastical, history, theology, mystery, homesteading, children’s, and middle grade. I’m passionate about encouraging people to read more! I also enjoy cooking, volunteering at church, organizing my home library, listening to podcasts, watching old sci-fi shows, and (attempting) to garden. We dream of owning our own farm one day!
